Volunteer’s Centre of Vojvodina and Nature Conservation Movement (Pokret gorana i volonterski centar Vojvodine) is non-profit, non-governmental organization founded 50 years ago. Our main aims are solving problems, satisfying needs and developing progress of the individuals and community and society in general. At the beginning we were working on planting new forests, and today most of our attention is dedicated to environmental education of our fellow citizens, planting new vegetation, ecological education,organizing different events and campaigns, local,regional and international voluntary service and youth programmes.

In January 2004. we started a new program - Volunteers Centre of Vojvodina, which is aimed at promoting voluntarism and its values and making voluntary work possible to all citizens. International work camp projects are one of it`s most important activities. They represent a special kind of short-term volunteer work involving teams of volunteers from a range of countries, who are coming together for a period of their volunteer project, to contribute solving specific problems and making benefits to local communities. This kind of volunteer work, considering it`s international and intercultural aspects has a great influence on parts of local communities in need. It is helping to activate citizens on solving problems of their local communities and improving quality of their environment. Also it is a very good way for volunteers themselves to gain a valuable educational experience, knowledge, new skills, and overcome prejudices and xenophobia.

In the past three years of our experience in organizing workcamps a great number of young people from our country and from all over the world had an opportunity to meet and share their experience on workcamps and carry out socially useful volunteery work. During this period of time we organized around 30 international workcamps in our country. During that time we made partnership with South East European Youth Network (SEEYN), network for international volunteer exchange and became one of their member organization.

Volunteers' Centre of Vojvodina and Nature Conservation Movement, also organized international and regional long-term volunteer exchanges trough projects of Youth in Action (EVS European Voluntary Service) and RIVER SEE programme. We have positive experience with hosting young volunteers from Germany, Croatia and France, and sending two volunteers to Macedonia and Greece.

Since 2006. VCVNCM has in its possesion “Ecological Center”, main office of VCVNCM,  specific building designed for various educational purposes,Youth Club, Voluntary service, Eco-Club.

Our main target beneficiaries are mostly youth from primary and secondary schools and students, as well as the other citizens depending from the projects we are involved.
