Stop in Bosnia

August – September 2004

Profiles of writers, photographers and web-designers from Denmark and SEE region visited Sarajevo and Banja Luka...

The travel guide www.stopinbosnia.com has been realised through the co-operation among three NGOs from Denmark and Bosnia-Herzegovina. They are Youth Communication Centre Banja Luka OKC, Youth Information Agency of Bosnia-Herzegovina OIA and Next Stop.

The project is funded by South East European Youth Network in the frame of The Royal Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Peace and Stability Fund - FRESTA

The creative team behind the web page were volunteers from OKC, OIA and Next Stop and participants from 11 European countries. They have all contributed to creating a different kind of travel guide to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Through a combination of hard work and good ideas and with an eagerness to discover new places, the basic idea has been to go beyond ordinary tourism. Over the course of two and a half weeks in August and September, group members have interviewed interesting people, written articles, taken photographs and created website.

Furthermore, we have sought to create a product which depicts Banja Luka and Sarajevo from young people’s point of view.
