WHY? (project background)
This project proposal has an intention to enhance institutional mechanism for cooperation of youth CSO’s with governmental departments as equal partners in tailoring youth policies and decision making regarding youth work. By implementing the activities for improvement of the legal framework and implement effective policies regarding youth work, strengthening the capacities of youth CSO’s and facilitating networking opportunity for youth workers the project will contribute to unite all relevant CSO’s to further intensify the efforts for better position of the youth sector. In addition, the project envisions concrete activities for starting the process of nationwide recognition tool of youth workers that will enable quality standards to be implemented in youth work based on regional best practices and participatory approach in youth work policy development.

INTERVENTION LOGIC:
Overall objective: To enhance institutional mechanism for cooperation of youth CSO’s with governmental departments as equal partners in tailoring youth policies and decision making regarding youth work
Specific objectives: To improve the legal framework on youth work and implement effective policies regarding youth work; To strengthen the capacity of youth CSO’s for sustainable development and facilitate the networking process of youth workers; To initiate the process of national framework of recognition of youth work and to secure quality system of delivery of youth related activities; To build on best practice and know how sharing for youth work policy development on the regional level;

ACTIVITIES:
1) Organizing focus groups to assess the capacities of youth CSOs members 2) Regional conference for sharing best practices in SEE; 3) Publishing the brochure with best practices and analysis of youth work policies in SEE region; 4) Workshops with members of Union for Youth Work for capacity building 5) Training for networking and good governance for youth CSO’s 6) Organizing meetings and round tables with representatives from relevant state institutions  7) Study visit for 10 members of Union for Youth Work to NAPOR 8) Workshops for creation of the concept for accreditation of Youth Worker as special qualification, development of training module in cooperation with partners 9) Intensive 4 months pilot training course with outcome: first 20 accredited Youth Workers in Macedonia.
